Fantastic B&B

Owners are top notch. The B&B is beautiful, rustic, spotless and a very cozy 18th century home. Bedrooms/bathrooms are absolutely gorgeous. Grounds are well kept and very inviting. We felt so welcome - as if we were regulars. They can't do enough for you at this establishment. They certainly go above and beyond for their guests. I would certainly recommend the Fisherman's Daughter as a place to stay. Breakfast was homemade and healthy - just perfect. We will definitely be returning. Room tip: We were shown all of the rooms and they are equally beautiful. It would be hard to chose.

A warm and relaxed and very welcoming atmosphere

I felt at home from the very first moment. Mel and Will are such great hosts bringing their west coast attitude to the wonderful southern shore of Nova Scotia - what a combination! Sitting at their breakfast table (the breakfast itself is huge, wholegrain and organic and ...) with other nice guests, having interesting talks was just fun. Max, the resident dog, is a nice playful guy too. So I am sure you will enjoy your stay at the "Fisherman's Daughter"! Stayed August 2011, travelled solo

Excellent B & B

We have stayed at Fisherman's Daughter twice. The ownership has just changed in August 2011 and the new owners Mel and Willem are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and well equipped and mostly overlooking the Bay. Good food and conversation at breakfast time. I loved the B&B, the Friendly hosts, I have been back

I immediately felt Mel and Will's warmth and hospitality when arriving at the B&B on their first weekend as new owners. I was surprised that it was their first day as the service was great, the breakfast was awesome and they were very helpful when I needed directions and things to do in the area. The B & B itself was very charming and clean. The historical property is well kept and the value was great. A Great Experience

This is a very nice bed and breakfast, located in the heart of beautiful and historic Mahone Bay. Within walking distance of the downtown and waterfront, as well as a fantastic hiking and cycling trail which extends for many kilometres towards Halifax. The proprietors are friendly and personable. Great Holiday

We stayed there for one week and had a great time. The owners are lovely, open-hearted and easy going people. A wonderful breakfast, great chats with the owners and other guests,beautiful rooms and a friendly dog make you feel at home at once. The B&B is located between two of the famous churches of Mahone with a bay view and within walking distance to lovely shops and good restaurants in town. Great place to stay! Fantastic!,we will be back

My wife,myself and another couple were on a 14 day Maritime adventure mostly staying in B and Bs when we found the Fisherman's Daughter . Will and Mel were great hosts. The rooms were super and the breakfast was great. Couple that with warm friendly hosts with lots of recommendations for things to do in the area and our two days were well spent. We will definitely be back.

Great place to stay for Pirate festival!!!

We just returned from a two night stay at the Fisherman's Daughter and it exceeded our expectations! Mel and Will (and their beautiful pooch Max) are the new owners and they were most wonderful hosts. The property is beautiful and the breakfasts amazing. We will definitely be returning for Pirate Days 2012! Aaaaaarrrrrhhhhh!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Fishermen's Daughter. Mel and Will were marvellous hosts and their home is beautiful. Breakfast was delightful and Mahone Bay really is a gem. We have no hesitation in recommending this B&B to anyone. A superb place to stay!
